Interests: Christmas

This blog will focus on my interest in Christmas and my goal of starting a Tik Tok account revolving around Christmas.

While it may seem unorthodox to put Christmas as one of my interests considering it’s a holiday I have a perfect reason to add it to this list. My love for Christmas and the holiday spirit brought me to a specific side of TikTok. One day in mid-may as I was reminiscing about the holiday cheer I looked up Christmas on TikTok and found a community I never knew existed.

This community was made up of avid Christmas lovers such as myself and these people couldn’t wait for Christmas to arrive. The communities of Christmas fans gather in the comment section of numerous Christmas pages. The pages primarily focused on this thing called a Christmas countdown which made daily posts reminding viewers and Christmas lover’s alike that Christmas was just [Insert number] days away. These page also tend to have Christmas music and Christmas visuals accompanying their countdown. After viewing many of these videos my regular fyp feed began to send me these reminders as well.

After a while of seeing this, I was inspired. As an avid Christmas lover myself I wanted to also participate in this community but as a creator rather than an observer. This is my reason behind adding Christmas to my interests list. I have committed myself to start my own Christmas Tik Tok page. Instead of just copying the same old formula many of these pages have, I want to add to the excitement by creating a fun interactive experience for viewers while also drawing in viewers with the Christmas countdown.

While I understand this is a huge commitment I am prepared to undergo the wonderful experience of sharing the Christmas spirit all year long. In order to embark on this year-long journey, I must do what all explorers do and prepare. My goal is to thoroughly plan out my Christmas page, organize my work, and do research to find the best way to create a community. I also want to add to the experience by crediting the source materials I use for the channel. I want the viewers to be able to know where they can get the many Christmas recipes these pages tend to share and use. Before the end of summer, I plan to launch my first page for 2022 and use what I learn to provide a better experience when I launch the full-year countdown for 2023. My love for the holiday spirit is my driving purpose for this page and I hope to learn a lot and make the best Christmas page on TikTok.
